Bruce Jones seems to have liked writing ‘circular’ stories, as in the above, or his classic “Jenifer” short story (illustrated by Berni Wrightson in CREEPY #63 in 1974), or “Kick the Can” for an issue of Marvel’s UNKNOWN WORLDS OF SCIENCE FICTION magazine, but he did them—and stories of other types—quite well.
